This piece is built on recordings of the rain on a Monday morning in September, starting out with a percussion loop that might be very familiar to New Yorkers -- the sound of raindrops hitting a metal air conditioner. The rain recordings were looped and treated in Mixtikl, one of the successors to Koan, the original generative music application that captivated Brian Eno. The percussion loop was sampled with an iPad and looped/treated in a Roland sampler. The extremely unmusical harmonica is strongly influenced by trumpeter Jon Hassell.
